Omachi, Hakuba, and Kotani villages are surrounded by magnificent nature.

We will hold a bento box lunch contest using ingredients from the rich bounty of this region!

Let's rediscover the charm of local ingredients with your creativity and give birth to a local bento box lunch!

The winner's lunch box will actually be commercialized!
A total of 300,000 yen worth of products & prizes are available, including the winner, extra prizes, and public voting prizes.

The Executive Committee will select 5 meals in each category. A total of 10 meals will be selected.

"Climb to Eat"

Concept

Easy to carry, easy to eat, and environmentally friendly packaging.

Take it to mountain climbing, camping, mountain stream fishing, and other leisure destinations.

Estimated Selling Price

JPN ¥600~¥800(Tax Included)

Conditions

70% of all ingredients are from Omachi, Kotani, and Hakuba.
Use environmentally friendly packaging that is easy to carry.
Cost ratio of about 45% (not including the cost of packaging).

"Take it home"

Concept

Appetizing appearance, enjoyable the aftermath of the trip, suite for souvenirs.

A lunch box that you will want to take home with you.

Estimated Selling Price

JPN ¥1000~¥1500(Tax Included))

Conditions

Use 70% of all ingredients from Omachi, Kotani, and Hakuba.
Use appropriate containers for boxed lunches.
Cost ratio of about 45% (not including the cost of packaging).

Terms of Application

・Resident or former resident of the Hakuba Valley, or anyone who loves the Hakuba Valley.
・If you advance to the finals, you are eligible to participate in the preparation day and the day of the final Selection.
・Must be able to transfer the commercialization rights of their recipes and ideas to the Executive Committee.

Anyone who has lived in Hakuba Valley in the past, enjoyed leisure activities in Hakuba Valley, has a special feeling for Hakuba Valley, or can think of a lunch box using Hakuba Valley ingredients is welcome to apply.
